Mathew & Priya

ARE GETTING MARRIED

You're invited to our wedfest!

We are having a traditional Arya Samaj hindu wedding ceremony followed by a civil ceremony the following week where we will exchange vows.

 The name Arya Samaj is Sanskrit for “Society of Nobles”, and it is a modern reform movement of Hinduism born in the 19th Century. Arya Samaj does not require you to 'convert' to Hinduism to get married & is not a 'sect' of Hinduism, it does however hold some distinct values which hold true to what we both believe in;

It does not believe in the infallibility or immunity from mistakes -To err is to be human.

It does not believe in "Fate".  Those born in a less favourable position are not condemned to live a life of despair.

Everyone can make and unmake his or her destiny through the Law of Karma.

Our civil ceremony will be an intimate affair and held at a lovely venue in east Sydney.  As we are having quite a large celebration initially, we wanted to have a more personal celebration the second time round - perks of being able to do it twice right?!

Over the week-long celebration of our wedfest you will not only witness but be a part of our grandeur party, filled with traditions, grace, colour and festival-like celebration associated with our wedding.

There has been so much already said about the rituals, layout and dynamic parts of the wedding, so we won't give away too much more! We can't wait to celebrate with you !
